Three talented islanders take the winning spots in Sure Sports Leaders programme
With sport being such a core part of our community in Isle of Man, it is important that people share their passion and encourage others to dedicate time to a sport they love.
As part of the Sure Sports Leaders programme, a group of 15 talented islanders devoted a total of 300 hours to volunteering with teachers, coaches, children at school clubs, holiday programmes and community sports clubs, offering support with coaching activities across the island.
During the programme, which took place from September to December, three dedicated individuals stood out for their commitment to volunteer coaching and were awarded the winter term prize as a result.
Our winter term prize recipients are:
1st Place – Abigail
2nd Place - Lewin
3rd Place – Matthew
These fantastic volunteers, who will go on to complete a second coaching period between January and April, demonstrated an unwavering commitment to local sport. In sharing their passion with children in the island, they are giving the next generation the tools to contribute to the Isle of Man’s sporting community.
Our winners were awarded vouchers of £100, £75, and £50 to be spent at Sure.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the Sure Sport Leaders Programme, and we’re looking forward to finding out who takes home the win for our Sure Sports Leader of the Year in just a few months’ time.
