Sure is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen across the islands in which we operate, and we deliver on this commitment through a series of community and charitable programmes.
Our community programmes ensure we are part of island life and support events that have local appeal and give islanders experiences they wouldn’t usually get. Examples of this are the Isle of Man TT, Sure Big Screen, Sure Comedy Festival, Sure Skate and Sure's Big Gig in the Park. Check out our News pages to find out more.
Sure Community Foundation
Sure also supports a variety of clubs, charities and other organisations with one-off donations to help with their fund-raising, as well as supporting their telecommunications needs. By donating telecommunications equipment or funding their communications, we enable these organisations to use technology in support of their charitable aims. Examples of this include providing mobile phones to a local care-giving charity so they can have volunteers on call 24/7, plus providing mobile broadband to a charity which visits vulnerable and elderly people in their homes - helping them use internet access to keep them connected with family worldwide.
The Foundation also recognises that charities and community groups need volunteer time almost as much as they need money, so can arrange for our staff to take time out of the business and contribute in a tangible way to charitable or community groups. So far, our staff have donated over 175 man hours to local community groups with activities such as beach cleaning and clearing the islands’ headlands, which also contributes to managing our environmental footprint.
The Sure Community Foundation and our support of community events form the backbone of Sure’s CSR programme, ensuring we continue to fulfil our commitment to be a responsible corporate citizen.
