More than 25% of homes are fibre ready

Over 2,000 Guernsey households are enjoying our fast and reliable Fibre Broadband.

Over 25% of Guernsey households are now fibre ready, with the Guernsey Fibre engineering team releasing 700 new properties a month. Torteval, St Peters and St Saviours are the latest parishes to be connected to Guernsey Fibre with 57 different postcodes and 229 properties in the area already able to sign up.

The latest areas that can upgrade to fibre are:

Chemin Le Roi; Les Buttes; Route de Pleinmont; Route Des Sages; Rue Collas Simon; Rue de la Couture; Rue De L’Aitte; Rue de Quanteraine; Frie Baton, Rue des Brouards; Rue des Cambrees; Rue du Belle; Rue du Court Laurent; Ruette de L’Aitte; Hauteville; Charroterie Mills; Vazon; King’s Mills; Cobo; Collings Road to La Vrangue; La Ramee to Capelles; L’Islet to L’Ancresse; Baubigny to Nocq Road.

Islanders can see if their property is fibre ready by using our postcode checker at sure.com/fibre.

Mike Fawkner-Corbett, Head of Consumer at Sure, said: “This is a fantastic milestone to reach in Guernsey’s fibre upgrade journey. We’re excited to be sharing this technology with our customers, who are benefiting from the enhanced speeds, the ability to have multiple devices on a network, and no loss of speeds no matter where in the island they are.

“If your property is fibre ready, it’s free to switch. Our Basic Fibre Broadband is the same price the lowest priced non-fibre package at £43 per month and offers almost twice the download speed (30Mbps average download speed versus 16Mbps).”

We run Fibre Friday drop-in events every Friday from 3-5pm in the Sure High Street store, where customers can ask any questions about fibre broadband and a member of our team can help you switch for free.
